We are excited to announce that we have committed to CLT testing dates this spring. We will be offering the CLT on April 13th, the CLT 10 on April 28th, and the CLT 8 on March 11th. This is an amazing opportunity to set our students apart academically, take a test focused on character education, and use the results for goal-setting and placement for next year. Parents will be receiving email communications soon if we are planning to test your children.

Our commitment to being a part of something different motivates us to serve as a CLT test site. We are convinced that the CLT is a much-needed alternative to Common Core-aligned testing regimes, such as the SAT and ACT. The CLT presents students with primary documents by the giants of our literary tradition—that is, works of real literary, philosophical, and scientific substance—and challenges them to think critically about the structure of the argument presented by the passage, as well as the stylistic and rhetorical decisions made by the author. It is an exam designed to measure the outcomes of character education and not merely test-taking skills. Colleges are taking notice. In the three years since the test was first offered, over 170 colleges and universities have voiced their support for the CLT and formally adopted the exam as an alternative to the SAT and ACT. In 2016, Hillsdale College determined the CLT to be “a superior assessment of a student’s aptitude and reasoning ability.” Submitting a CLT score is an excellent way for students to stand out during the college admissions process.

"The CLT is far from value-neutral: it challenges test-takers to think critically about our intellectual tradition, and to engage with it morally and ethically,” says a book with practice tests. “Why the focus on Western culture?  Because it is the tradition that has most influenced the culture and development of the United States.  The CLT’s focus on this tradition presents students with ideas, topics and issues that [they] will encounter repeatedly in college and beyond” Jeremy Tete

It is academically focused but emphasizes individual learning styles for young children who are not quite ready for Kindergarten. Children in this program are usually between the ages of 3 and 4.

Our grammar school program is for students 1st-5th grade.  Students in our grammar school classes spend time developing deep foundations in their love for learning.  They strive for mastery in all areas of learning and are excited to build on what they know.

K-12

In our middle school program, students enter the logic stage of learning.  At this age, we teach our students to argue well.  We want them to dig deep and question the world around them so that they can better understand the whys behind their learning.  They spend time making connections in their learning and understanding the world around them.

In our high school program, students in our rhetoric-based program are ready to take what they have learned and express it to those around them.  They find joy in wisdom and the eloquent expression of knowledge.  Students continue to delve into subjects and writings that have been at the core of Western culture and civilization for centuries. Our graduates, armed with a diploma and a rigorous classical education, are prepared to attend universities and succeed in spiritual, academic, and social aspects of their lives.

Tuition and Payments

2021-2022 Tuition Policy and Payment Plans

Tuition for full-year programs is divided into 10 equal payments.  These payments remain the same regardless of the number of days in a month as they are equal to the total due when paid in full. Families are responsible for and contracted to pay the full year’s tuition balance. Each family can find their current balance on their Praxi School account.

If you should decide to pay your yearly tuition in full prior to the 15th of August, a 2% credit will be applied to your total amount due.

Tuition payments begin August 1, 2021, and are subsequently due before the 15th of each month. If payment is not received by the 15th at close of business of each month a late fee will post on the 16th to your account, in the amount of 10% of the total balance due. Returned checks will be charged $20 for processing fees. The final tuition payment will be due May 1st.

Tuition is to be paid to the school via cash/check or by using one of our online payment options via our website.

Tuition does not include the one-time yearly fees for registration and books.

Our Jr. Kindergarten offers the option of an early arrival (7:30 am for students in AM classes) and an option for later pick up (4:30 pm for students in PM classes).  These options are included in your tuition but must be arranged at the time of registration, and are only complimentary for Jr. Kindergarten students.  All times listed are academic class times.

Students in Kindergarten and above who need care after school gets out (until 5:30) must arrange at the time of registration to be enrolled in our afterschool program. The cost is $85 per child per month.

Students who are picked up more than 15min after the end of their scheduled academic program will be charged late pick-up fees.  These fees start at $5 and increase every 15min by $5.  Extreme circumstances without parental communication could result in additional actions by the administration.

Please note: In order to complete your registration and secure your spot for the year, your first month’s tuition, registration, and book fees must be paid. Crestline Academy reserves the right to withhold transcripts and report cards due to outstanding account balances.

If you have received an invoice and would like to pay online using your linked bank account to the most trusted and widely used mobile App, we are offering the Venmo App. Venmo is a digital payment form that you can use right from your phone. Just open your Venmo App and choose the "Scan" option and hover your phone over the QR Code below. Here, you will see Crestline Academy's account appear.
