Join us for Crestline Academy's 2020 Summer Classes
Available for students ages 13+ for high school credit
Crestline is offering two summer school class opportunities for students ages 13 and up. High school credit is available. The algebra program will be three weeks in June and nature writing will run from late June-July, with classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 10:00am-11:30am. The nature class will not be in session the week of July 7th-9th, but will resume the following week. All books are included in tuition.
Algebra Concepts (June 9th-25th) $225 (Prerequisite: At least 1 semester of Algebra 1). This course is designed to show students the beauty and logic of algebraic concepts. Concepts will be taught at the same time, but levelled appropriately for students who need either Algebra 1 or Algebra 2 studies. This course’s ultimate goal is to help students go on to succeed in further math courses.
Nature Writing and Literature (June 30th- July 30th) $300 This course will provide students with a sweeping overview of nature writing, beginning with Ben Jonson’s “Passionate Shepherd to His Love,” through excerpts of Walden, and concluding with modern nature-inspired non-fiction pieces. Students will analyze the literature, and spend a significant time in nature creating their own pieces of nature writing.
